MORE INFORMATION
Darley Investments is a green coffee exporter based in Kampala, Uganda. We visited them in February 2024, to see their facilities, and also to head out into the field and meet the farmers and producers. Darley has a dry mill in Kampala where they grade and prepare coffees for export, and a drying station in Busoba, where they prepare some of their naturals before milling.
This coffee is comes from Mr Picasso Nduwayo, a Burundian coffee producer based at Manafwa on the south side of Mount Elgon. Wahata is a particular community located between 1700 and 1850 masl.
Picasso has been producing some of the best coffees coming out of Burundi for the last ten years. Given the fortuitous season timings between Uganda and Burundi, we are very happy he is able to turn his experienced hand to producing quality lots from Mount Elgon.
This lot is a Natural – dried on raised beds, when coffee reaches 15% moisture content it is removed from the beds and placed into sealed containers for two days before finishing the drying.
